We are a creative church filled with incredibly talented and artistic people who are passionate about creatively communicating the Gospel with the world. We pray, plan, plot, and put in place themes, stage designs, skits, songs, and sermons all designed with the idea of making the message portable, making it stick in people’s minds, all so that Jesus can be further glorified. And for having a very small budget and being very new to the whole task, we are doing a pretty good job of it all. I have always said if necessary, I will put on a purple suit with pink polka dots to reach someone for Jesus.Wednesday, April 25, 2012

4 Keys to Great Volunteers
The Saturday before Easter our church held our second annual Easter Egg-stravaganza, there were well over 2,000 people there to hunt some 30,000 eggs. The day went off extremely well. The next week I was continually approached by community leaders who had great things to say about the day and the event, but were mostly impressed with our volunteers, and they should have been because our people were AWESOME! One question was repeated to me from several different sources: How do you get people to do such a good job?
I understand the question, it is difficult to find people who want to work hard at any job these days, let alone a volunteer position. At LifePoint our people have always risen to the occasion and have gone above and beyond in everything we have done for the last 2 years. I’m not sure of all the secrets for this success but we have found these 4 to be key.

An Open Letter to LifePoint Church
When I think of what God did through our efforts this weekend all I can say is Praise God! We had well over 2,000 people at the Egg-stravaganza and a record high of 464 in attendance for Easter Services Sunday Morning. Through all of it LifePoint volunteers were there to help direct and serve people in every way that you can imagine. Our goal is for every member to be a minister and we had MANY from every age group ministering this weekend! LifePoint you are A.W.E.S.O.M.E!
